Stan is one of the original “minutemen” as those of us in the Class of 1976 were the first to complete all 4 years at MMBA. I am proud that he was my classmate. He was quieter but had a great sense of humor. I was thrilled when I found Stan on Facebook years ago. Over the years I have consistently thought of this incident during gym class. Stan was one of the smarter in the class, but let’s just say he wasn’t on the sports teams. One gym class was held outside in our field after a heavy rain. We were playing soccer and we noticed everyone was muddy except Stan; he had found one piece of higher ground that was dry. Noticing that we “muddy” guys decided to have Stan join us so we would run right at him in an effort to get him to run, fall, get splashed . . . whatever to get him muddy. At the end of class there remained one clean participant, Stan. How he avoided our valiant effort to baptize him in mud remained a mystery!! To the family I extended my sympathies. I cannot imagine the hole in your life with him being gone. He was a fine example of a student and teen and I know he only got better. Stan joins fellow Class of 76 Minutemen Linda Stercay and Bill Zelinko in Heaven and hopefully they gave you a first class tour.
