Leah Brandau Frank passed away peacefully, at the age of 87 on Thursday, August 10, 2023, in Channahon, Illinois. She was a longtime Wisconsin resident, having been born March 3, 1936, in Necedah, Wisconsin to the late Margaret (nee Lambert) and Jess Roberts.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Kim (Kevin) Olson of Germantown, WI; two sons, Doug (Kathi) Brandau of Franklin, IN, Pete (Sue) Brandau of Channahon, IL and daughter-in-law, Tracie Brandau of Sparta, WI. Leah is the loving and devoted grandmother of Nick (Taylor) Buetow, Joey Waldoch, Skyler Olson; Tony Brandau, Justin (Melissa) Brandau, Misty Brandau; Jacob (Ericka) Brandau, Sarah (Clark) Adams, Jenna Brandau; John (Brooke) Brandau and Charlie (Mackenzie) Brandau. Proud great-grandmother of Leah, Maddie, Zoey, Haylee, Bella, Hazel, and Jael.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Frank whom she married in 2005, in Roscoe, Illinois along with Lori Frank, Boscobel, WI; Lisa (Gary) Dassow, Avoca, WI, Mathew (Barbara) Zimmerman, Rockton, IL, Genevieve Zimmerman, Rockford, IL and Dude (Kerry) Frank, Roscoe, IL. Leah enjoyed being the grandmother to their children as well – Bobby (Ereka) MacDougall, Teri Nelson, Zach (Courtney) Woodward, Andi (David) McDevitt, Jessie Dassow, Kelsey Zimmerman, Kendra Zimmerman, Kailin Zimmerman, Bryan Malone, Jasmine (Kyle) Murphy, Kimberly (Jared) Malavolti, Aaron Frank and Natalie Frank as well as many great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are her sisters, Donna (Dick) Schultz, Marilyn (Terry) Rutkowski, Jeanne Lauer, Carol (Corv) Schaffer; sister-in-law, Bern Roberts; brother-in-law, Tom Clark, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Brandau (1990); son, Michael Brandau (2020); parents, Jess and Margaret Roberts; brother, Norman Roberts; sister, Judy Clark, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. The reunion in heaven was grand!

Leah was a statistician for the Salvation Army prior to retiring and was formerly employed at Briggs and Stratton. Her hobbies included bowling, stamping, and crafting beautiful, inspiring greeting cards for all occasions, however, her true passion was being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her love, encouragement, and kind spirit will remain with us forever. Thanks, Mom.

As it was Leah's wish, cremation rites have been accorded and her final earthly remains will return back home to Wisconsin. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Harvest New Beginnings Church; 5315 Douglas Road; Oswego, IL 60543. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. and the memorial service at 2 pm. Refreshments will follow at the church.
